# How to buy more GGAB tokens

This page shows you how to buy a token pack when you need more tokens before your plan's next refill. You can buy on the GGAB website or in the app, and the tokens land in the same balance either way.

## Before you buy

- **You need an active membership.** Without one, the website sends you to **Billing** and the app to its membership screen, so the token shop is out of reach. If yours has ended, see [Coming back](https://getgoodatbadminton.com/docs/cancel-subscription#coming-back).
- **A pack doesn't change your plan.** It adds tokens on top, and your plan keeps refilling as normal.
- **Packs aren't refundable** once the tokens reach your balance.

## On the web

1. Click **Tokens** at the bottom of the left sidebar. It shows your current balance.
2. Under **Buy more tokens**, pick a pack and click **Buy**. Each pack shows its price, how many tokens it holds and roughly how many minutes of automatic tracking that covers.
3. Checkout opens on Stripe, our payment provider. Pay there.
4. You land back on **Tokens** with a note that your purchase is complete. The new tokens show under **Purchased**. The sidebar balance can take a few seconds to catch up.

Packs on the website come in 5,000, 22,000 and 50,000 tokens.

If you leave checkout without paying, the Tokens page tells you checkout was cancelled and nothing was charged. If a pack says its price is unavailable, refresh the page. You can't buy a pack until its price shows.

## In the app

1. Open the menu and tap **Settings** at the bottom, or tap the **Tokens** box just above it.
2. In the **Membership** section, find **Top up**. Each pack shows how many tokens it holds and its price from the App Store or Google Play.
3. Tap a pack and confirm the purchase in the App Store or Google Play sheet.
4. Wait a few seconds. Your new total shows on the **Tokens** row.

Apple or Google takes the payment. The tokens go to your GGAB account, so they're in your balance on the website too.

If the purchase fails, the app tells you it didn't go through, with the reason. If you paid and the tokens never arrive, contact us from the [Contact page](https://getgoodatbadminton.com/contact).

## Where bought tokens go

Your balance has three parts. The **Tokens** page on the website shows them as:

- **Free:** your plan tokens, added each billing period. The app menu calls these **Monthly**.
- **Bonus:** tokens from signing up, referrals and support.
- **Purchased:** tokens you bought, on the website or in the app.

Bought tokens stack. Each pack adds to what you already have, and purchased tokens never expire.

## Which tokens get spent first

We spend your plan tokens first, then bonus tokens, then purchased tokens. So a pack you buy waits until you've used up your plan and bonus tokens.

## On a Coach plan

Tokens you buy go into your coach pool, the same balance your athletes on your plan draw from when they use tokens.
