This page shows you how to permanently delete your GGAB account, on the website or in the app. If you only want to stop paying, [cancel your membership](https://getgoodatbadminton.com/docs/cancel-subscription) instead and your matches stay.

## Before you start

- **Download anything you want to keep.** On the website, go to **Settings → Privacy** and click **Download my data**. In the app, tap **Download my data** in **Settings**. You get a ZIP of your matches, AI chats, training, wearable readings and billing history. Video files aren't inside it, so download any video you want to keep first.
- **Subscribed on an iPhone? Cancel it in your Apple settings first.** Read the note below.

> **App Store subscriptions aren't cancelled for you**
>
> Deleting your account cancels a membership you bought on the GGAB website or through Google Play. It can't cancel one bought through the App Store: Apple lets only you cancel it, and keeps billing until you do, in your Apple subscription settings. See [How to cancel your GGAB membership](https://getgoodatbadminton.com/docs/cancel-subscription#in-the-app).

## On the web

1. Sign in and open your [account page](https://getgoodatbadminton.com/account).
2. In the **Delete account** section, type DELETE in the box.
3. Click **Delete account**.

You're signed out and taken to the GGAB home page.

## In the app

1. Open the menu and tap **Settings** at the bottom.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap **Delete account**.
3. Tap **Delete forever** to confirm.

If you have an App Store subscription that's still renewing, the app stops first and asks you to cancel it, with a **Manage subscription** button that opens your Apple subscription settings. Cancel it there, then come back, or tap **Delete anyway**.

You're signed out once it's done.

## If your membership has ended

You can still delete your account.

- **On the web:** sign in and you'll land on **Billing**. At the bottom, choose **Delete your account**, then follow the steps under [On the web](#on-the-web).
- **In the app:** on the membership screen, tap **Delete account** at the bottom, then **Delete forever**.

## What gets deleted

Everything in your account, at once:

- Your account and sign-in
- Your matches, with every rally and shot
- Your videos
- Your health data from any watch or wearable
- Everything else tied to your account

We also remove your saved payment details from Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe keeps the invoices it's required to keep by law. Your email is unsubscribed from GGAB emails, and any connected watch or wearable is disconnected.

Your video files are removed in the background right after the account itself.

## What happens to your membership

- **Bought on the website:** cancelled for you as part of the deletion, so you won't be charged again. You don't need to cancel it first.
- **Bought in the app on Android (Google Play):** cancelled for you as part of the deletion. It stays valid until the end of the period you paid for, then doesn't renew.
- **Bought in the app on iPhone (App Store):** not cancelled, because Apple doesn't let us. Cancel it in your Apple subscription settings, ideally before you delete.
- **Paid by invoice:** nothing is charged automatically, so there's nothing left to cancel.

If we can't cancel a website or Google Play membership automatically, nothing is deleted and you'll see a message asking you to cancel it first. Cancel a website membership from **Billing**, or a Google Play one in Google Play, then try again.

## Can it be undone?

No. Deleting your account is permanent, and we can't bring it back.
